We are saddened to annouce that after almost 30 years; Disney has officially retired the Disney Dollar. As of Saturday May, 14, 2016 Disney will no longer print, or sell this "Currency with Character". The company claimed the reason was the rising use of gift cards and digital currency. Does this mean the end of Disney Dollars? Yes and no. Disney Dollars will continue to be honored and accepted as currency. However, they will no longer be sold. Nor will any new series be released. Hopefully, one day, they will come out of retirement, but for now, keep collecting and enjoy the masterpiece and art of each bill. Disney Dollars you will be missed.
